Summer STEAM Camps

Exciting Changes For 2026!

Our previous Summer Manufacturing Camp has been an incredible experience for Defiance County students, bringing together Defiance, Tinora, Ayersville, Hicksville, and Fairview Schools for hands-on learning and industry exploration.

New in 2026, Defiance County Economic Development is partnering with Northwest State Community College. NSCC has an extensive camp course listing for grades 1-8. By partnering with them we are able to serve a wider range of grades and offer students choices on camps that are suited to their interests. All camps are STEAM-related, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Mathematics.

We are committed to sponsoring 25 Defiance County students at $125/each in
grades 1-8 for a fully funded camp experience. Through the camp scholarships, we are removing the financial barrier for Defiance County students to participate. One scholarship per student.
