Defiance County to Be Featured on “Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid”

The Defiance County Economic Development office is pleased to announce that Defiance County, Ohio will be featured on the nationally distributed public television series Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid, debuting in March 2026, and will run throughout the year.

Hosted by acclaimed actor Dennis Quaid, the program spotlights communities across the country that demonstrate innovation, resilience, and forward-thinking leadership. The Defiance County segment highlights the county’s strong economic foundation, collaborative spirit, and commitment to creating opportunities for residents and businesses alike.

In the feature, Erika Willitzer emphasizes the importance of strategic growth and community alignment in Defiance County’s continued success.

“Despite what many think, small town America, rural America, is a great place to live, and that’s Defiance County,” said Erika Willitzer, Executive Director, Defiance County Economic Development. “We are seeing manufacturers expand, start-ups launch, and remote workers are coming here to live because it’s a great pace of life. It’s a great quality of life.”

The segment also underscores the county’s focus on long-term sustainability and opportunity. Bryan Keller highlights the role of leadership and vision in shaping Defiance County’s future.

“The great thing about Defiance County in terms of doing business here is that it’s very business friendly,” said Bryan Keller, CEO, Keller Logistics Group. “We’ve got the County Commissioners, City of Defiance, as well as the outlying villages and cities- they all want economic development in their community, and you don’t always have that in rural communities.”

The feature showcases the county’s assets, including its workforce, schools, infrastructure, natural resources, and vibrant community atmosphere, while illustrating how local leaders and residents are working together to ensure a prosperous future.
