Homegrown Grant Roll Call

We’ve been talking a lot lately about our Homegrown Grant program. Why? Because it’s working! Over the past 4 months, through individual grants of 500 dollars, we’ve awarded $3000 to deserving business throughout Defiance County. Here’s a rundown of the recipients:

SAC Services is a commercial cleaning and disinfecting business based just outside of Defiance. Their Homegrown Grant will help boost their advertising and digital marketing efforts.

Putt-Putt Golf & Games is a leader in family entertainment including miniature golf, go-karts, laser tag, and more. They’ll use their Homegrown Grant for digital marketing, upkeep, and expansion.

Sugar On Top By Mari is a brand new bakery and kitchen specializing in an incredible selection of desserts and treats. Their Homegrown Grant will help pay for commercial kitchen equipment.

Le Posh Salon is a new boutique inspired salon located in downtown Defiance. They’ll be putting their Homegrown Grant toward new equipment and an attractive new awning.

Battle Clay Farm is a veteran owned beekeeping business that sells honey and other pollen-derived products. Their Homegrown Grant will help purchase supplies including jars.

Seasoned Mobile Grill has become a familiar sight at northwest Ohio events. If you see them displaying a sharp looking new tent or vinyl trailer wrap, their Homegrown Grant helped pay for it.

How about your business…What could you do with 500 dollars? Equipment? Supplies? Marketing and e-commerce? The deadline for our next Homegrown Grant allocation is December 31, 2023.
