Mentorship Program

Our mentorship program is designed to help employers and individuals who are looking to improve on or learn new skills that will help them progress in their careers. Our goal is to improve the quality of our county's workforce by helping to:

  • Retain top-performing employees.

  • Improve leadership skills.

  • Create an inclusive and diverse culture.

  • Improve managerial and new employee competency.

  • Upskill and transfer the key institution knowledge of our current workforce to the next generation of workers entering the workforce.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Any individual who is looking for individualized help or advice to reach their professional or personal goals.

Any employer who is looking to upskill their workforce by matching employees with key individuals who can help them overcome any barriers of newly entering the workforce.

HOW DO YOU MEET WITH THE MENTOR?

This program is designed for mentors and mentees to be able to meet in person and online. The online program is through Padlet. 

WHY IS THIS PROGRAM IMPORTANT?

Sometimes all you need to make it to the next step in your career is a little polishing or confidence. We want to help you succeed and continue to help our county grow and thrive! This program is designed to help you and could be the key piece to help you reach your next goal.

HOW ARE GOALS & SUCCESS MEASURED?

Mentees will be matched with mentors based on the goals, skills, or Key performance indicators (KPIs) they are looking to improve upon. Mentors will be able to help the mentees set their goals based on a measurable amount. Requirements for the program are outlined below.

WHAT IS THE LENGTH OF THE PROGRAM?

The mentorship program is set up to be 1 year long. During this time frame, mentors and mentees will be required to meet in person at least once a month. They must also maintain active weekly communication during the year.
